비트코인이 8200달러 부근에서 박스권을 형성하며 장기 저점을 다지는 모습이다. 일부 전문가들은 2017년 비트코인 하락 장세와 비슷한 패턴으로 움직일 수 있다고 진단했다.
4일 암호화폐 시세 분석 사이트 코인마켓 캡에 따르면 오전 12시 기준 비트코인은 전날 동시 대비 2.0% 하락한 8201달러에 거래됐다.
지난달 30일 7000달러 대로 떨어졌던 비트코인은 이달 들어 일시 8400달러까지 회복했다. 이후 지난 2일 8200달러대로 하락한 이후 횡보세를 보이고 있다.

일주일 중 비트코인 가격의 변동성이 가장 큰 날은 금요일이고 월요일 오전에는 가격의 변동이 적은 것으로 나타났다. 이같은 내용은 포브스의 디지털 자산 정보 플랫폼 포브스 디지털 어셋이 지난 2년 동안 비트코인의 변동성에 초점을 맞춰 160만건 이상의 데이터 포인트를 분석한 결과다. 또 해당 데이터에는 코인베이스, 제미니, 크라켄, 바이낸스 등 주요 암호화폐 거래소 네 곳의 BTC/USD, BTC/USDT 및 BTC/ETH 거래 기록들이 포함됐다.

Stone Ridge Asset Management has filed a prospectus for its Bitcoin Futures Fund with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company filing revealed that these Futures funds would be cash-settled and each share would be worth $10, with no minimum orders. The total number of shares on offer would be 100,000 and Stone Ridge would determine the eligible investors who can buy these shares.
The U.S. stock market staged a sizable relief rally in Thursday’s session, as traders bought the dip of a 500-point selloff in the Dow. A gauge of U.S. services activity weakened much more than expected in September; rather than sell on the news, traders took the report as a positive sign that the Federal Reserve will continue to lower interest rates.
Cryptocurrency has posed a major challenge to governments around the world, most of which are looking for means to stay on top of their game and compete favorably with the technology. The primary way to deal with this is to create a national digital fiat currency which will ensure that the country keeps pace with the evolving financial technology.
China, one of the world’s largest economies and U.S’ top trade rival has already started the process of creating one such digital currency which is to be launched by next year 2020.
